Outline of Study Work
The strategy development work is split into 7 steps as illustrated in the figure below. This process included extensive consultation at key stages with three groups - Strategy Advisory Group (SAG) - made up of Members and Lead Officers from 3 Local Highway Authorities, and Study Partnership representatives; the Wider Reference Group - key stakeholders, including transport operators, business contacts, representatives of environmental and other interest groups and thirdly the public. By following this process it is intended to identify and approve the long term transport strategy for SE Dorset by the end of 2010.
